Project 2/8

→ SIDESHOW EXHIBITION

This exhibition debuted when Donald Trump reached his first 100 days in office, having achieved remarkably little save for turning politics into a bizarre spectacle. This circus-like atmosphere inspired Sideshow, an exhibition by Abbott Miller, responding to the Trump administration. Involved with production and piece development.

Project 5/8

→ BIANNUAL IDENTITY

Designed a typeface and a flexible identity for an event where team members have the opportunity to reflect and share their best work from the past six months. Considering the act of “re-playing” past moments and making sure our work is up to the company’s standards, the identity consists of a graphic language adapted from recording devices, frequency charts, camera focus detection diagrams, and screen test pattern graphics.

Project 7/8

→ UNCONDITIONAL

Wrote and produced an original manifesto on the use of black and white and its relevance in graphic design. The manifesto argues black and white serves as a valuable component for the creation of new forms, functions as an effective default design tool, encourages collaboration, and acts to stimulate the senses.

Project 8/8

→ SPACE PUCKERS

The process of puckering in Illustrator showcases much control over how severe an object can be physically altered. While exploring natural distortions, black holes, wormholes, the milky way, and other forms of astronomical imagery, I noticed these forms of puckering in the natural world show a loss of control over their
existence and physical appearance in space. The final application is a foldable newsprint pamphlet that ultimately expands into a sizeable astronomical map.
